Ne Dedin? (What did you say?)

Ne dedin? (What did you say?) is an interactive installation that explores foreignness and the hardship of constantly deciphering meaning in a foreign land through sound. Even though there are tools for people living in a foreign country to understand their surrounding, even if you spend years in that country, you can never fully grasp your environment like a native person would. Ne dedin? (What did you say?) creates such a place for the American or non-Turkish audience through conversations and "tools".
Special thanks to David Markham-Gessner and Andrew Shapiro and all the voices (Onur Mumcu, Alper Bahadir, Selin Devranoglu, Aynur Taskan, Ayten Ekinci, Cevdet Ekinci and Sibel Aksan Rainone)
